MPD bestows ‘Kaibigan Award’ to FEU

The Manila Police District (MPD) has honored Far Eastern University (FEU) for its dedication to supporting the education of MPD personnel and their dependents. In a simple ceremony held on March 26, 2025, at the FEU Administration Building Board Room, MPD District Director PBGen Arnold Thomas C. Ibay presented the prestigious "Kaibigan Award" to FEU president Juan Miguel R. Montinola in recognition of the University’s contributions.

The citation highlighted the generous provision of tuition fee discounts significantly alleviating the financial burden of education for officers and their families, greatly enhancing the knowledge and competence of MPD personnel. 

In addition to educational support, FEU and MPD formalized their partnership in October 2024 and continue to collaborate on various programs and initiatives related to safety and security, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for the FEU community. 

The University remains fully committed to providing a safe and nurturing campus for students, faculty, and staff.
