“This occasion is significant as it formalizes a partnership between two long-time Manila-based organizations which hold service as a vision. The FEU mission is to provide opportunities for… and we are looking forward to being contributory to the development of the MPD and dependents with this MOU signing,” said Montinola.
Around 10 students will be selected by MPD and will get a total of P100,000-discount every year for four or five years, depending on the tenure of the selected students’ program. They must complete their degree program within the required number of years, and should maintain good Quality Point Average standing, discipline, and other retention requirements of the scholarship.
In keeping with its commitment to safety and security, FEU entered into the partnership with MPD to ensure a sound and peaceful community for the university’s stakeholders, especially its students. As part of this partnership, the university, through its Admissions and Financial Assistance Office offers scholarship grants to beneficiaries recommended by the MPD.
Aside from the scholarship grant, FEU is partnering with MPD in other activities and programs relating to safety and security, among others.
“It is heartening to know that a reputable educational institution known for its tradition of excellence, such as the Far Eastern University has generously embraced our police and has opened its doors to welcome us as part of the FEU community,” said Ibay.
