FEU highlights digital transformation in education, industry

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Academic Affairs Office recently hosted the ADAPT in Education and Organization Forum: Accelerating Digital Advancement for Progressive Transformation at the University Conference Center, Arts Building. The event brought together thought leaders and professionals to discuss trends in digital transformation and the role of technology in shaping industries and education.

The panel of speakers included: Dennis Layug, president and CEO of East West International Educational Specialist, who provided insights into global digital trends in education; Jose Gabriel M. Fornier, Learning and Development and Project Management executive of ePLDT, who explored the rising demand for specialized skills in the workforce; and Dr. Alan Tan, president of California Metropolitan University, who emphasized the critical role of micro-credentials in addressing evolving industry needs.


Dr. Melinda D. Torres, executive director of FEU Academy, opened the event with her welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of digital innovation in education and organizational growth.


The forum also featured an engaging question-and-answer session moderated by Catherine Catamora, director of Education Technology, where practical strategies for digital transformation in various sectors were discussed further.


The event concluded with the closing remarks from Dr. Rowena Capulong-Reyes, vice president for Corporate Affairs, who underscored FEU’s commitment to fostering progressive and transformative learning environments.


The ADAPT in Education and Organization Forum is part of FEU’s ongoing efforts to promote innovation and prepare its academic and professional communities for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
