FEU Academy head joins mgt group’s board

Dr. Melinda Torres, executive director of FEU Academy, has been appointed member of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) board of trustees, enhancing their academy-industry collaboration.

Leveraging its network of human resource and business professionals, PMAP will provide mentorship, industry insights, and professional training to ensure students are well-prepared for the evolving job market. 

The collaboration includes internship and on-the-job training opportunities with PMAP member companies, career development programs such as résumé-building workshops and mentorship sessions, and specialized training in leadership and people management. Joint research projects, certification programs, and networking events will strengthen industry connections, equipping students with practical skills that complement their academic foundation. 

Beyond career preparation, PMAP is committed to instilling ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the FEU community. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, students will gain insights into ethical decision-making, inclusive leadership, and sustainable business practices. By integrating CSR topics into the curriculum and connecting students with ethical business leaders, the partnership fosters integrity and social accountability among future professionals.
