3 doctors of education lead 57 in hooding rite

As the Office of the Graduate Studies (OSGS)held its 3rd Hooding Ceremony, three Doctors of Education from the Institute of Education Graduate Studies and Transnational Education (IEGST) led the group of 60 graduands in the annual rites last July 6 at the FEU Auditorium.

Beaming with joy and pride, Jizelle C. Naval and Joneth D. Vibar who majored in Literature and Language Education and Cristy B. Samarita who concentrated on Curriculum and Instruction took the stage with their family members and dissertation advisers.    

 

Together with Naval, Samarita, and Vibar were 57 master’s graduands who were also recognized in the ceremony accompanied by their family members and thesis advisers.  

 

Five graduands from the Psychology department majored in Clinical Psychology while one specialized in Industrial Psychology. Both the Communication and IEGST departments had lone graduands in their master’s degree programs. Meanwhile, the nursing department trumpeted 18 graduands. The Master of Business Administration program of FEU Roosevelt produced 14 graduands while the same departments of FEU Makati and Manila produced eight and nine graduands, respectively.

Dr. Patricia B. Licuanan, former Commission on Higher Education chairperson, graced the hooding ceremony as its guest speaker. Licuanan emphasized the crucial role of the graduands in a world marked by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.    

   

In recognition of the graduands’ academic feat, their dissertation, thesis, and capstone project titles were articulated by Dr. Arnel Bravo, director of OSGS, as they were individually recognized on stage.
